About the Author

Sara Ghannoum is the author of the children’s book series Tom Alien. Sara spends her days managing the emotions of her two little aliens, Maha and Saif, which inspires her creations. In her previous life, she worked in the medical and nanotechnology fields and has been published in various scientific journals. She grew up between Australia and Lebanon, and currently resides in Dubai.

About the Illustrator

Dunja is a multidisciplinary artist, born in Yugoslavia, raised in Zimbabwe and educated in Italy and France. Upon completion of the Design and Technology Master's Program at Parsons New York, in 2008, and while studying Set Design in Florence, Italy, Dunja has been freelancing as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator of children’s books and is currently living in Florence and Lisbon.  Her work has been published in the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
